Catalogue: DADA Impuls/e. Egidio Marzona Collection
DADA Impuls/e is not just an exhibition catalogue but also a collection of essays, which inspire to look from a different angle at the popular perspective that juxtaposes anarchising Dadaist tendencies and rational Constructivism.
The editors: Paulina Kurc-Maj and Paweł Polit through the exhibition and the publication wish to show avant-garde as a movement, which led to the emergence of a multitude of coexisting, mutually supportive or exclusive tendencies aimed at the common goal that would ensure the total victory to modern art.
The discussion on Dadaism is broadened with essays by art critics and researchers: Hubert van Berg, Hal Foster, Matthew Biro and artists: Theo van Doesburg and Claes Oldenburg.
The publication also includes an interview with Edigio Marzona – art collector, whose collection helped to create the exhibition and a Polish–English catalogue of all works presented at the exhibition in the Muzeum Sztuki.
