On Friday, 15th December, at 5 pm Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź witnessed this 2017 ceremony of the presentation of the Katarzyna Kobro Award Artists to Artists
The idea of the annual Katarzyna Kobro Award came from Professor Józef Robakowski and Nika Strzemińska (Katarzyna Kobro and Władysław Strzemiński’s daughter).
The Award is meant to honour artists demonstrating creative artistic pursuit and progressive stance. Originally the Award was granted privately at Galeria Wschodnia gallery, and since 2011 the event has been organised by Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź.

A panikhída (memorial service) in memory of Katarzyna Kobro was held in Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Alexander Nevsky in Łódź at 3 pm.
After the ceremony all guests were invited to join a curatorial tour throught the Neoplastic Room and the exhibition Neoplastic Room. Open Composition with Daniel Muzyczuk.
